iTechLCD’s FOP1040HB, 10.4(10) Inch high bright LED open frame monitor is one of iTechLCD’s industrial sunlight readable open frame monitors that come in a 4:3 aspect ratio.  While the typical 10.4” monitor can work well for indoor applications, this sunlight readable monitor can be put into any outdoor environment and function perfectly well, even against the elements of the sun.

Aren’t 10.4” monitors more suited for indoor applications?  While it may seem like a 10.4 inch monitor is only limited to indoor applications, a high bright industrial 10 inch monitor can be used in a wide variety of outdoor applications as well, such as Kiosks, vending machines, digital signage displays, even industrial control panels that may be located outside.

Are these industrial FOP1040HB monitors backwards compatible with iTechLCD’s other 10 inch open frame monitors?  iTechLCD strives to make all sizes uniform so if there is a need to upgrade or downgrade brightness, then it would be easier for integrators or designers to switch out the monitors without having to worry about redesigning the existing enclosure. 

The 10” monitor is efficient because the LED backlit monitor requires less energy while still being able to output a bright display.  The mechanical dimensions of the housing and unit, is relatively small, so the unit as a whole leave behind a small footprint and creating more space for designers and OEMs when designing the unit into an application.  The FOP1040HB, 10.4” sunlight readable LED open frame monitor can be used for indoor or outdoor projects that include instrumentation panel displays, Kiosks and digital signage.
