The DW-5K-IS is an intrinsically safe, wireless keyboard built for use in hazardous locations. It is FM-approved for Class I, II, and III, Division I, Groups C, D, E, F and G. It costs up to 35% less than wired intrinsically safe keyboards and does not require cables or barriers. The DW-5K-IS has a 30-foot RF range and works with systems in enclosures. It utilizes a USB dongle for plug and play ease, including automatic keyboard detection by the host computer. In addition, the DW-5K-IS comes with a manual binding feature that locks in the keyboard’s signal, providing keystroke security, the ability to operate multiple wireless keyboards within the same environment and a barrier from interference with other wireless devices. With its sealed, silicone rubber keypad and robust ABS polycarbonate case, the DW-5K-IS is designed to meet NEMA 4X specifications.
