The FOPW1200, 12.1(12) Inch Industrial Wide Resistive Touch LED Open Frame Monitor with a 16:9 Aspect ratio is one of iTechLCD’s more popular sizes and is a unique size because it has a higher resolution than most typical 16:9 aspect 12 inch wide monitors.  This 12.1 inch open frame monitor generally has an 1280 x 800 resolution LCD panel, but in this specific model, not only is the resolution higher to deliver a much more crisp picture, but this unit also has greater viewing angles. 

What does the FOPW1200-RTS-U have a high screen resolution?  The typical screen resolution for a 12 inch monitor is 800 x 600, but the FOPW1200 has a screen resolution of 1280 x 800.  With higher resolution, comes higher viewing angles.  About 88oL/R and U/D, which means, that this unit, can be used, in a wide variety of places and applications.

How did the FOPW1200-RTS-U get a higher resolution?  With the LED backlit LCD panel, the LCD panel itself is capable of getting an optimal resolution of 1024 x 768.  In most cases, it is usually dependent on whether the panel can handle the higher resolution or not, and in this case, the LCD panel can.
