The FOPW1210-CAP-U, 12.1(12) Inch Industrial Wide Capacitive Touch LED Open Frame Monitor with a 16:9 Aspect ratio is iTechLCD’s first small form factor size and is a unique size because it has a higher resolution than most typical 16:9 aspect 12 inch monitors. This 12.1 inch open frame monitor generally has an 1280 x 800 resolution LCD panel, but in this specific model, not only is the resolution higher to deliver a much more crisp picture, but this unit also has greater viewing angles.

What does the FOPW1210-CAP-U not use a SAW touch glass? Typically, most 12 inch wide touch monitors don't have a projective capacitive touch glass overlay available, but for a wide touch screen, it is more compatible and more readily available. Capacitive touch screens are just as durable as SAW touch glasses, but is more suited for widescreen applications.

How did the FOPW1210-CAP-U get an HDMI input? With this new line released, iTechLCD opted to have HDMI as a standard input for the 12.1 inch wide touch screen monitor because HDMi is more suited for wide screen applications and displays.

With an LED backlit panel, the unit is able to emit more brightness while using less energy to do so at the same time. With a brighter screen, superior viewing angles and small footprint, this 12.1 inch wide open frame monitor is the ideal solution for any application that requires a 12 inch wide monitor. A few applications that the unit can go into, would be instrumentation panels, control panels, Kiosks, ATMs or signage displays. Just like all of iTechLCD’s other open frame monitors, this 12.1 inch wide monitor has a chassis that is milled from a CNC machine to ensure quality and reliability.
